DAY 15: Junkety JUNK

This was mummy's favourite activity so far and I think SON loved it too.  If the BIG smile was anything to go by, then JUNK is the way to go when entertaining the little one!
Thanks to The Imagination Tree for this idea...
We took an empty milk bottle and cut one small and one large hole in it.  SON then enjoyed posting small and large buttons (it was amusing watching him figuring out why some buttons went in the hole on the front and some didn't!)

We added to the activity by sticking some velcro dots on the bottle and onto some buttons.  It was delightful seeing how SON pulled the buttons off the velcro (good for the finger muscles!)

Empty coffee boxes, filled with different bits and covered.  SON enjoyed drumming, carrying, shaking, throwing...you name it...

Good old egg boxes.  SON enjoyed opening and closing the box.  He filled the box with plastic lids (we keep all plastic lids...a little mummy obsession!)
OK...SON does have a lot of JUNK to play with, but it's cheap and versatile!  This is a little set-up to show all the bits we put together for this activity and ones to come!!!
A collaborative effort.  We cut the milk bottle in half (it can be used as a funnel for pouring later).  We attached a kitchen roll.  SON tried putting lids down the 'pipe' but they got stuck and didn't filter through to the bottom.  He tried buttons and VOILA...all the way through and ready to shake!
